Bit by Bit

So I have finally started on a new line of jewelry that I have been wanted to do f-o-r-e-v-e-r. I should say I have done some of it, wedding rings for Amber and I. I have received so much positive feedback over them, that I now am making a complete line to sell....and yes I already have some orders!-....and no it wont exactly be my wedding ring, god forbid.....that has to stay one of kind....but it will be pretty damn close. Here is pic of the start of one of the pendants .....everything will have it's own unique carving but still be inspired by this sixties textile drawing I saw a few years ago and simply feel in love with.
First I did my own quick sketch of the lay out of the pieces. I am starting with a pendant for a necklace. I cut the wax bar down to the size I want, and here in the picture you see I am shaving off the thickness of it bit by bit. I will draw, with a black marker pen the design directly on the wax once it is roughly the size I want, and then start the carving. I got shuffle on my Itunes and the meditative quality of hand and mind focus......good times.......
